Why the name MADE?
Because that’s how your bed should feel in the morning. MADE Sheets are built around one idea: a bed should feel as good when you wake up as it did when you got in. Wake up in a MADE bed.
How do MADE Sheets keep my partner from stealing the sheets?
Our patent-pending design zips the sides of the flat sheet to the elastic band at the bottom of the fitted sheet. When your partner rolls over and pulls, the sheet stays anchored to your side. They can roll and they can pull, but the sheet won’t budge. MADE handles the tug-of-war for you.
Why is it easier to make the bed in the morning?
MADE Sheets connect the flat sheet to the fitted sheet along the sides and at the foot of the bed. However much you toss, turn, or kick during the night, the bottom half of the bed stays in place. In the morning, pull the top edge of the sheet up and you’re done. The sides and foot are already tucked.
Will I feel the zipper?
No. The zipper attaches at the elastic band of the fitted sheet, which sits along the edge of the mattress rather than where you sleep. The stretch material around the zipper keeps it flexible. Only the soft bamboo touches your skin.
I’m a hot sleeper. Can I still get my feet out to cool off?
Yes. Feeling trapped in a sleeping bag, or in tightly tucked hotel sheets, is the worst on a warm night. We placed the connection points away from the corners, so you can always slip a foot out to cool down.
I don’t like feeling trapped in tightly tucked sheets. How is MADE different?
The most important feature is the high-stretch material built in around the zipper. It keeps the sheet tucked in while giving you plenty of room to stretch, turn, and move underneath. We use stretch material only in the zipper area, so the bamboo is the only fabric touching your skin.
Can I unzip the sheets?
Anytime. Unzip them to wash, to air out the bed, or to use the flat sheet loose on a night when you’d prefer that. Zip them back together in seconds.
What is patented and unique about MADE Sheets?
Our patent-pending design covers attaching a flat sheet to a fitted sheet by any method: zippers, Velcro, snaps, magnets, and others. We tested many samples and prototypes, and zippers were by far the best.
The spandex built in around the zipper areas gives you freedom under the sheets without feeling pinned down, unlike hotel beds that seem anchored to the floor. We placed the stretch zones where they give the most movement without sitting where your body rests.
Why bamboo?
-
Soft and silky. Bamboo has a luxurious softness, often compared to high-thread-count cotton or silk.
-
Breathable and cooling. Bamboo fibers help regulate temperature, so you stay cool in summer and comfortable in winter.
-
Moisture-wicking. The fabric absorbs and releases moisture well, which suits hot sleepers and humid climates.
-
Gentle on skin. Bamboo is naturally resistant to dust mites, a good choice for sensitive skin.
-
Odor-resistant. Natural properties help limit odor buildup between washes.
-
Sustainable. Bamboo grows quickly without pesticides or excessive water.
-
Durable. Quality bamboo sheets resist wear and often outlast cotton.
-
Wrinkle-resistant. They aren’t wrinkle-free, but they resist deep creases better than most cotton.
What sizes and colors are available?
We’re building MADE from the ground up, so we’re starting with one size (King) and one color. Each new size and color we add is a big step for a small company, and we’d rather do a few things well. Want a different size or color? Email us at sales@madesheets.com and tell us what you’d like to see. Your requests shape what we make next.
Why should I wash my sheets before the first use?
-
The fibers relax. Bamboo fibers loosen after the first wash, so the sheets feel softer and drape better.
-
They get softer over time. Bamboo becomes more supple with each wash instead of breaking down.
-
They absorb moisture better. The first wash improves moisture-wicking for a smoother, silkier feel.
-
Manufacturing residue comes out. Washing removes leftover starches and finishes from production, so the natural softness comes through.
To keep that softness, wash cold on a gentle cycle and skip harsh detergents and fabric softeners. Softeners leave residue that reduces breathability. Air-dry or tumble dry on low.
How do I wash my MADE Sheets?
-
Unzip the sheets. Separating them balances the load in your washer and protects the stretch material from being pulled during the cycle.
-
Use cold water. Choose a cool, delicate cycle. A whites setting is fine when needed.
-
Bleach if needed. Bleach can be used occasionally. We add one scoop of oxygen whitener to every wash to keep them bright, fresh-out-of-the-box white.
-
Tumble dry low. High heat can set creases that are nearly impossible to remove and can damage bamboo fibers. Low heat and a little patience are worth it.
Can I recycle my bed sheets? Really?
Yes, mostly. The bamboo portion of MADE Sheets is biodegradable and can be composted at industrial composting facilities. Cut away the stretch areas and the zipper, then compost the rest.
